Stephanie M. Schnabel

September 26th, 2009

stephanieschnabelBorn in Hilden (Germany) in 1980 Michaela Schnabel now lives in Stratford-upon-Avon (UK), where she studies at the Shakespeare Institute for a PhD about ‘Shakespeare in performance’. She has finished her studies in English, French and Spanish literature and linguistics at Heinrich-Heine-University Duesseldorf in 2007, besides working as a student assistant, a private tutor, and a voluntary translator in a church group. During her semester abroad at Anglia-Ruskin-University Cambridge she fell in love with England and is quite happy that she now lives there for a longer time. Michaela discovered Karl May’s novels at the age of 11 and soon became addicted to his works. As she also loves those books not taking place in the Far West, she has set her mind on translating these, therefore starting her work for Nemsi Books with “Kong-Kheou, das Ehrenwort” (China) and “Das Waldröschen” (Mexico, Spain, France, Germany).
